What is the difference in event types?

Open Events:

  • ANYONE can join by reserving a ticket
  • Direct instruction

Private Events:

  • Guests by invite only (8 painters minimum)
  • 1 sign design (customizations available)

  • Off-site setup available

What is Creative Studios?

Creative Studios is a craft studio open to anyone!  We offer a variety of events and opportunities to craft.  Check them out here.  We currently offer wooden signs and projects. However, we have big things in the works including jewelry stamping, leather working, candle making, and more!  Stay tuned because you won't want to miss out!

How long do projects take?

Project time varies depending on the project, but most projects take 2-3 hours to complete. Excluding clear coating the sign, as you will complete that step at home.

What is included in the price?

The price of each project includes at the materials and supplies needed to paint and complete your sign in studio. Signs will need to be clear coated at home for added protection and to seal your project. We will guide you here, don't worry!

Are there any risks involved?

Some signs may require hand tools and a drill. So there Is some risk of injury, but we plan our crafts in effort to mitigate those risks. Some projects require acrylic paint, water based stains, and super glue. Please wear appropriate clothing or the provided apron to protect your close. If you have breathing or other health issues that might hinder your ability to complete the project or handle the super glue, please notify us immediately so we can offer you help or alternative solutions.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations for Open events are strongly suggested as they typically sell out. Register early! On occasion, you might be able to find an open seat without a reservation. Always check the website for current events and availability. We will have DIY events coming soon that will not require reservations. Stay tuned for those details and hours!

How many people can be in a reservation or at a table together?

8 people can sit together at one table. Of course we have more than one table and can easily accommodate larger groups!

Can we sit together if we reserve separately?

Yes, but you MUST include your party's name. To do so, all you need to do is use one person's last name as the reservation name and then each person signing up will need to include that same name in the NOTES prior to checking out. Did you forget to add the reservation name to Notes? That's ok, shoot us an email to wootleydesigns@gmail.com ASAP, and we will do our best to accommodate you! 

**Be sure to Include the registrant's name, event date, and the reservation name. 

Can I bring someone with me that is not working on a project?

Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of seating and fire code, we are unable to admit any person who has not reserved a spot to complete a project. This Includes other adults and children of all ages.

Does everyone in the group have to complete the same craft?

Short answer is that it depends on the event. Open and Private events have preselected signs where everyone has the same options of signs. Sometimes the event will only have 1 sign option and other events allow a choice from a few options. The product details will give you all the information you need. DIY hours allow you to choose from in stock projects to complete or the ability to customize your sign. Please note that customized signs must be ordered a minimum of 7 days in advance.

I'm NOT crafty! Can I do It?

Yes, you CAN! Our Open and Private events set you up for success, with guided instruction and plenty of help along the way! So rest assured that you will be successful and walk away with a fantastic project you will love!

Can I order a custom sign to paint in studio?

Of course! Our DIY hours provide the perfect opportunity for you to pop in and paint on your own time and the project of your choosing. We offer numerous in-stock designs that allow for customizations OR we can design what you are looking for. Complex designs may require additional design time and fees. We do our best to have a 7 day turn around, but it is not always doable. Please include the date you hope to be in studio to paint and we will do our best.

 How much time in advance do I need to place my custom order to paint in studio?

A minimum of 7 days is required for customizations on in-stock designs. New or complex designs may require additional time and design fees.

 Can I bring food or drinks?

You sure can! Space is limited, so think simple and don't forget plates, napkins, and utensils.  We do not them available in studio.

Do you sell food or drinks?

We do offer a snack trio and some nonalcoholic beverages.

 Do you sell beer or wine?

We do NOT sell beer or wine. Adults 21 and over can partake by bringing in a 6 pack of beer or bottle of wine, but don't forget your cups. You MUST provide a valid ID, sign a waiver, and all event participants much be 18+. Our policy prohibits booze at kid events or events before 4:00 PM.

 Do I have to be 21 to enter?

You do not have to be 21 to enter, however some events are age restricted. Read the product details for each event's restrictions and age requirements for each project.

 Can I purchase completed projects from you that are on display?

You sure can. We do sell out sample signs, just ask!

 Can I order a completed CUSTOM sign by Wootley Designs?

We definitely do custom! We love to design just for you and your needs!  Inspiration pictures help so much with design ideas, color scheme, shape, and more.  Don't hesitate to bring numerous picture examples to the design table, as it will help me and you visualize the end result.  Pinterest is a great place for inspo!

 Can I rent out Creative Studios for a private event?

Absolutely! We offer a variety of options to host your own private event. From small groups to big groups, we can accommodate parties ranging from 8-32 people at the studio. Have more than 32 participants? We can host off-site, just let us know where.  

 Do you host kid parties?

We sure do! You can choose from wood signs with 3D wooden pieces or canvas prints with printed outlines to assist with painting.  We can coordinate for the party theme or kid's interests, the sky is the limit.

 Do you offer team building?

Another yes! Ask how we can host your next corporate event, bachelorette party, bridal shower, a fun night out.  We would love to be a part of the event or celebration!

 What is your cancellation policy and do you offer refunds?

Due to the custom nature of our events, registration fees are non-refundable. Once your order is submitted, we immediately begin producing your personalized project. Unfortunately, due to customizations and preparations, there are no refunds for open or private events. Please email us at wootleydesigns@gmail.com if you wish to cancel OR send someone in your place. We certainly hope you don't, but if something comes up, we will pack up your project to complete at home and will hold your project for 14 days. If you are a no-show for any event, you forfeit your payment and project.

 I can't make it! Now what?

Understandably, things come up! You have 2 options:  1. send someone else in your place OR 2. we will box up your craft to complete at home.  DON'T FORGET that an EMAIL to wootleydesigns@gmail.com IS REQUIRED BEFORE the event, either way! Let me know the name of the person taking your place OR if you want your project boxed up for pickup. You will have 14 days from the event to pickup your sign before it is restocked.
